Oi! Ernst! Yes, I'm talking to YOU!
Soon it's Easter, and since except Brick everyone is having a holiday, it means that you have a bit of time on your hand, don't you? Btw, Brick is invited too, of course.
But that means that we will do a little something for the Ernstchannel; you won't spend your entire day with your family anywa- STOP LYING!
That's why all Ernsts, serious posters and especially low-laying lurkers are invited to make banners. It's easy:
Format 300x100, jpg, png or gif
Ernstchan can always need banners and original content and that's why it needs YOU!
Make a banner, post it here and make Ernstchan a colorful and diverse place!
One banner for each day of the year!

Bro, you had ONE job!
**Actually, you had several jobs, and only one of them was to adhere to the rules of banner width. Other jobs were following the convention of banner height, and creating a banner which is both optically appealing and also related to imageboard culture, all requirements that have been easily met. The expression "you had ONE job" was only chosen because it is a common phrase, and as such is guaranteed to capture the attention of the reader, so in this special case an exact desription of the problem was sacrificed for flashiness. In addition, applying a fix to the aforementioned problem is trivial, two solutions are simply stretching the image (see img 1), or extending the border regions (img 2), if the original font dimensions are to be preserved. In any case, thanks a lot for your contribution to the EC banner marathon.
I see you have deleted your work while I was typing this post, most likely because you noticed the error yourself. In that case: Well done, I am looking forward to the type of fix you will apply for this situation.**

Here, I made another banner to commemorate the event:
No.23541
>>23540I like it, because I don't understand it. Since probably no one understands it, it implies that there is some deep Ernst lore behind it, but no one will dare to ask, because they are afraid to expose themselves as newfags. So this banner will serve to create Ernst lore without actually creating any Ernst lore. Very efficient.
No.23542
>>23541>Since probably no one understands it, it implies that there is some deep Ernst lore behind Or that someone made a joge with Ernst/Ernte based on a pop culture reference and then simply translated it and thus losing the joge.

So far /b/ is leading in banner quantity.
But, no pressure.
No.23564
>>23563Can you maybe make the "E" a capital letter?
The pun with earnest/Earnest is a given anyway.
Or make it "Ernst" right away (though maybe that could even work as a german version of the banner).
No.23565
>>23564Indeed I thought about using the capitalization as seen in the Wikipedia article. Might do later. It's easy, too, since there's no overlap between text and picture.
